Electrical Apprentice Disclaimer
Electrical apprentices are required to have Statement of Attainment(s) in:
GSES generally allows electrical apprentices in their final year to enroll even if they haven’t completed the above units. There must be a statement in writing agreed between both parties that the student wont receive their statement of attainment until evidence of completion of UEEEL0012 and UEEEL0039 or their unrestricted electrical licence.
As per the Solar Accreditation Australia , the GCBS IO accreditation type is only available as an ‘additional accreditation type’ to an existing GCPV Design and Installation accreditation (i.e. not as a first accreditation).

GCPV Install Only
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be eligible to apply to Solar Accreditation Australia for the Installation of Grid-Connect PV Systems Accreditation. GCPV Design Only
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be eligible to apply to Solar Accreditation Australia for the Design of Grid-Connect PV Systems Accreditation. The Solar Accreditation Australia has information on their website indicating their requirements to apply for Solar Accreditation Australia Accreditation:Click below for more information.
This pathway is for electrical engineers to get SAA Design Only Accreditation in Grid-Connected PV Systems.
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be eligible to apply to Solar Accreditation Australia for the Design of Grid-Connect PV Systems
The pathway is as follows, where the previous course serves as the prerequisite to the next. A student aiming to do Grid-Connected PV Systems will first have to do Electrical Principles then Grid-Connected PV systems in that order.

Electrical Engineers can do the “exam” version of the electrical principles course which serves as recognition of prior learning (RPL) to do the Grid Connected PV course. SAA accreditation requires all non electricians including electrical engineers to complete Electrical Principles (UEERE0051).
Grid-Connected Battery Systems Design and Installation
